Where's your battery: a live rating scale for Google Slides
After lunch, the room rates its energy on a battery; under half and you take a break.
Free to start. Works in the Google Slides you already use.
How to set it up
- Get Doppio. Install the free Chrome extension and the Google Slides add-on. It takes about two minutes.
- Add a rating scale to your slide. In Google Slides, open the Doppio sidebar (Extensions → Doppio) and create a rating scale with your question and options. The chart in the video is Ribbon chart (5-level scale).
- Present as normal. The room scans the QR code on your slide and votes on their phones. The results build live on the slide.
What's in the video
It's two o'clock, straight after lunch, and you're presenting from Google Slides. Half the room is staring at the carpet. Do you push on, or take a break? Louis here with today's Daily Drop: the battery check. One question: where's your battery? Empty, running low, half, charged, or full. Watch the votes roll in. With Doppio, the results fill the battery right on your slide, coloured to match your deck. And the rule on the slide does the work: under half, and you take ten minutes. People answer honestly when the answer changes something. Grab this idea, and add it to your own deck in seconds, at doppio.live/ideas. Enjoy, and we'll be back tomorrow with a freshly brewed Daily Drop!
Run where's your battery in your next session
Doppio puts live polls, scales and quizzes inside your Google Slides, styled to match your deck. Your audience votes from their phones, no app needed.
